Black Sun Planetary Solutions (BSPS) is developing a concentrated solar system that concentrates the energy of the sun through a funnel. The Black Sun Solar solution is designed for public utilities and is less expensive to implement than traditional Photovoltaic (PV) powered solar systems. Black Sun Clean Energy collectors funnel sunlight into a black box target chamber. This is different than traditional concentrated solar powered systems that reflect light upwards using mirrors.
BSPS received a patent for its technology in December 2015 and is now searching venture capitalists to invest in the company so it can build a network and inventory of funnel solar collectors.
